I had never painted outside, seeing the workshop “Into the Wild . Painting in Nature” intrigued me.

Shakti allows you to paint and create, seeing when you need to be supported and giving information about paints, paper to nudging how to improve your painting and always at the right time throughout the workshop. I grew and transformed how I painted.

How Shakti does this is priceless. Shakti’s method of painting got me to look at my relationship between my Feminine and Masculine sides, helping me understand myself, transforming the relationship between my, Feminine & Masculine and me.
.
We learned to dance in the energy of nature. The workshop got me to feel trees, flowers grass through my body, helping me express what I saw and felt how the paint landed on paper surprised me.
.
Painting in nature has changed how I can help myself. When going through a stressful time in life, I need to paint to express my emotions helping me to clear my worries thoughts. Making a painting date enables me to transmute all the concerns allowing me to connect with my body and the inner peace of my heart.

The workshop has changed the way I paint one, of them is applying paints in different ways will be a game-changer. Making a painting date for myself is a precious allowing. When the muse calls me, it is an itch, that if not, scratched will keep on itching. I would get grumpy.

There is a pulse that happens when you paint outside.
A feeling I expanded into nature, enabling me to express how it feels, transformed the way I paint.

The 5-week workshop took me into nature made me connect deeply with the nature around me. My house backs onto woods so, I already had a connection, but painting outside bought me to my heart feeling, my expansion that connects me deeper to my essence.

Nothing is a mistake in painting so if you have never painted before and want to find a new way to express yourself or if you paint already and want to explore a new way of being with paint, the exploration is life-changing.

I have loved my journey “Into the Wild. Painting in Nature” workshop it, bought up emotions that I didn’t even know were there painting through the frustration, and other emotions have bought a joy that will linger for years to come. I look forward to meeting the paintings I will paint in the future.

Participating in the journey into the wild workshop for 5 weeks has been a tremendous transformation in my art-making.
.
First of all, the way that the course is conceived took me to a deeper level of connection with nature. Tuning in, observing, feeling, tasting, smelling, and seeing a tree, a branch the way she moves or dances in the wind, experiencing it with my own body. By exercising this way, I looked at nature with all my senses, harvesting and gathering all the elements.

This approach transforms my artistic expression into a more aware space,
feeling more the energy and the essence of nature that has so much to offer!

It clarifies what I was really attracted to, following and trusting my intuition and hearing the BIG YES inside me. Being in touch with this YES has definitively strengthened my creative practice. Helping me to overcome my fear and explore new possibilities. Realizing, As a cooking Mediterranean chef, my attraction is clear of what lights me up !
Painting the abundance of fruits and vegetables, like a fig tree or olive tree enhance my creativity! They are my muse!

By following the clear instruction each week from Shakti Urmila, I was able to explore a totally different technique, somewhere I will never go before; going first into the feminine side, contemplation, using the colors to flow on the paper, and then exploring the masculine side to express more details and forms!
.
Another big help and contribution were that it was the first time I was able to paint on a bigger size paper ! 
It felt so easy to move that way! I am still amazed by this switch!
Also, adding meditation practice before painting has enhanced my creativity and regulated my emotions and inner criticism, Feeling the support of the teacher and the group took me into a very flowing mood and joy, no resistance, and a strong mojo!!!
I was in awe by the end result of my last painting! I could say inside myself : it is beautiful and I love it!!

I actually will do this workshop again to integrate, even more, all the precious guides lines that Shakti Urmilla is sharing with so much clarity, fun, hearted professionalism, and generosity. I am so excited to follow all her other classes that support, empower and motivate my creativity and totally recommend the journey !

The Into the Wild workshop experience was a huge discovery for me. I realized that painting outside is really a very meditative process. The meditation starts already with the preparation of my material. To be well organized and not to forget anything! A process that I really enjoyed. I felt great freedom and an immense joy to paint in such an environment..
.
My inner child was delighted, fulfilled, and joyful! I took great pleasure in letting the color flow and playing with the paper...In nature, observation becomes fascinating... light, shadows, textures, smells, sounds are tools that I enjoyed!
.
This experience gave me the possibility to live more intensely and see my painting differently. It has turned my conception and practice in my art upside down. To paint I always used to prepare myself with sketches, drawings, and a pretty clear idea of what I will put on the canvas. With this approach, it is the opposite! The experience of the feminine and the masculine has upset me and put me in discomfort that has not always been easy! I went through these stages as therapy and they allowed me to discover some facets of myself that I did not know! I am really very grateful to have been able to live such an adventure with Shakti and the participation of Deva, Maureen, and Vibusha... precious friends in the exchanges and the positive glances of our progress.

This adventure was enriched by a multitude of techniques proposed and brought with benevolence by Shakti. By the richness of her experience, I recommend to those who want to discover or evolve in painting to be guided without hesitation by our beloved Shakti.
